With some wet weather and the chance of a storm forecast, surely that old weather proverb about red skies in the morning would bring some colour. Driving down to Jan Juc in the dark, through the fog, I wondered what the conditions would be like on arrival. And… clouds and fog, so therefore no warm bright colours for sunrise.
The only reason I knew the sun had actually risen was it was past the scheduled time and it got lighter - didn’t see a peep of colour or brightness.
This was the perfect opportunity to forget the sky, and wander around the Western edge of the beach and play with the surf instead. Sure, no brilliant sunrise skies, but no regrets with my early start and drive down to the coast.
