Iririki Island isn’t really the best sunrise location, with the beautiful ocean views to the sunset-side of the island. But that didn’t stop me enjoying quiet time at Snorkeller’s Cove at dawn on two of our mornings on Iririki. Yes, even on holidays I’m an early riser. There’s something about the quietness of the morning that is so appealing.
The concrete jetty juts out from the island, and is useful for finding a little more depth before starting your snorkelling. The wooden extension at the end of the jetty has been missing for some years, but its absence doesn’t detract from the view, especially with the incredible stillness of the morning.
