Rain Break
A very wet and warm Boxing Day, I was up at 4 and driving down to Port Willunga from Adelaide, worried about the rain (and just how heavy it was).
Upon arrival, listening to the rain pinging on the roof of the car, it slowly started to turn from a “ping” to a gentle “ting” - and a check of the rain radar showed an hour, maybe two, before the next front arrived.
With a light drizzle for most of my stay, the refreshing swirl of the calm surf was a welcome start to the day, and just the clarity both body and mind needed.
Jumping back in the car, I started the drive back to the city just as the skies opened up once more with the arrival of the next front.
