I teach group fitness classes, and can be teaching at unfriendly times for a landscape photographer. Such as this morning, when looking out of the studio mid-class and saw the most amazing sunrise - but, I had my class to teach, not my camera, so back to the workout. Driving home from my evening class, the clouds looked light, fresh and fluffy. Given the dense grey cloud we’re used to, this light cloud made a refreshing change, and one that I didn’t want to ignore.
After dinner, I headed down to Werribee South with plenty of time to spare, saw the highest tide I have seen at the mouth of the Werribee River, and had time to enjoy the stillness of the evening. With the sun dropping past the horizon, the bank of cloud off to the right turned in to a brightly lit canvas, one that stretched beautifully for a long exposure.
